A sealer applied after cleaning to slow down re-soiling and weed growth.
Sealing fills the pores in a surface so dirt, oil and water sit on top rather than soaking in. On block paving it also stabilises the joint sand, which is where most of the benefit comes from.
It is applied only to a clean, dry surface. Sealing over dirt or damp traps the problem underneath and the finish fails, so timing matters more than the product.
Only on a dry surface
Sealing damp paving traps moisture and the finish clouds or peels. We wait for the surface to dry properly, even if that means coming back.
