Block paving collects everything in its joints: sand washes out, dirt washes in, and weeds take hold in what is left. The blocks themselves are usually sound long after the drive looks finished.
We clean the blocks, clear the joints properly and re-sand them. Skipping the re-sanding is why some driveways look worse six months after a clean than before it.

Open joints let blocks move and weeds return. Re-sanding is not an upsell, it is part of doing it properly.
