- Will pressure washing damage my roof tiles?
- It can, which is why we do not pressure wash roofs. Roofs are soft washed instead, at low pressure with a solution that kills moss and algae at the root. High pressure can lift tiles, strip the surface and drive water underneath. Hard surfaces like driveways and patios are different, and those can take pressure.
- How often should a roof be cleaned?
- It depends on the roof, the pitch, how much shade and tree cover it sits under, and how exposed it is. North-facing and shaded roofs grow moss faster. The honest answer is that we will tell you when we look at it, and we will say if it does not need doing yet.
- Do you clean gutters as well as roofs?
- Yes. Gutters are a separate service and are often worth doing at the same time as a roof, because moss and debris coming off the roof ends up in them. Blocked gutters push water back towards the building, which causes more expensive problems than the cleaning does.
- How much does it cost?
- It depends on the surface, the size and the condition, so we quote each job rather than publishing a rate. Quotes are free, with no obligation and no pressure. Call us on the number above and we will sort one out.
- Do you work on commercial property?
- Yes. As well as homes we work with commercial facilities, warehouses and industrial spaces. Yards, sheds and large buildings are regular work for us, and we are equipped for the scale.
- Are you insured?
- Yes, fully liability insured. Cover is in place before anyone goes up a ladder.
- What areas do you cover?
- We work across Ireland. The areas we cover most often are listed further down this page, but we travel, so if your area is not on the list it is still worth a call. We will tell you straight away whether we can help.
- Do I need to be at home while the work is done?
- Not usually, as long as we have access to the areas being cleaned and to an outside water supply. Plenty of customers are at work while we are there. We send before and after photos once the job is finished, so you can see exactly what was done.
