Graffiti removal is a surface problem as much as a paint problem. Blasting it off brick or render takes the surface with it, leaving a clean patch that advertises where the tag was just as clearly.
The method depends on the paint and what it is on. On porous surfaces a poultice or solvent draws the paint out rather than cutting the surface away.
The patch is the giveaway
Aggressive removal leaves a bright clean area the same shape as the tag. Blending with the surrounding surface is the skill.
